Fan Letters re: Misc. Performances

Dear Mark,
I want to tell you again how much I consider a priviledge to be near a
musician like you, the quality and insight of your playing is beyond all
the violinsts I've heard, and I also want to thank you for the happiness
you give to Art He can hardly fly back to me after gigs like last
night!!!!!!!
All my best
And again the pleasure of hearing you both on Sunday.

Mark,

There aren't words to describe the joy that you, Peter, Art, and Bob
brought to my friends last night! Productivity at AirFiber hit an
all-time low today because everyone was talking about last night. Jim
Troxel (the owner of the vintage LP you signed) told me that the blues
piece you did (was it called the Cluster Blues or something like that?)
was the single finest live performance he's ever heard and he's heard a
lot of them.

Thanks again!!!

Mark,

Thank you for letting me know about your concert on Sunday........You are an
amazing violinist and I love your compositions.  For the second half Dave & I
moved to the balcony so that we could see everybody.  We found that the blend
of sounds in the quartet and then quintet was spectacular and that your sound
was so big that Dave was wondering if you were "miked".........but I don't
think I saw any microphone.  I hope that your recording came out even half as
good as it sounded.  "Pickles on the Elbows" was one of my favorites!

Thanks again for a spectacular evening!!!!!!

Mark,

I'm so looking forward to your appearance here at The Center.  Randy Vogel forwarded an eMail about your sojourn in Hollywood recently.  My best friend was a studio musician for years (a guitarist) and I used to attend scoring sessions from time to time when I was still in television, thought the scale of your orchestral undertaking with Williams dwarfs anything I ever sat in on.

I wanted to tell you how much pleasure I have taken personally from your work.  Since being introduced to it I have probably bought at least 20 copies of each of the Appalachian cd's (Amazon LOVES me!) and given them to friends ... everyone I love has gotten one by now!  Sublime music!!  You've given me a great gift.

Randy may have mentioned that I will have a one hour radio show on KFSD every Sunday night beginning in September.  I'm very much hoping that you will agree to be my guest for at least one of them ... and I have been thinking of using a cut from one of the songs on App.  Journey as the theme song for my program.  How would you feel about that?  (Haven't decided which one yet.)

Anyway ... congratulations for your continuing and richly-deserved success.  And thank you for your music.
